I spit the wave I ride
I spit the wave I ride
I weave in and out of the break -I glide.
The water is cool, and is thrown in my face.
Its refreshing sensation keeps me at pace.
I surf the wave, I hope Im not doing bad,
And if the girls watching laugh, Ill be sad.
I see a shark swimming, seemingly flying near by.
I invite him to surf with me, and try
To beat me out of the barrel of water
And our races velocity started to get hotter.
I beat him out, I hope it doesnt deteriorate and die in pride.
And euphorically, I spit the wave I ride.

I love the sea!! This is a great write. I dont think Id be able too handle the board !! You have vivid images in this poem, even the shark!! Thanks for sharing.
