Why should I change myself?
Get a grip.
Change myself for this or that person
Never going to happen
Get real
When will you accept me for who I am.
For who I could be?
Im never going to be free.
How can I if you wont see me for who I am.
You say change this
Take off that
Why should I change my appearance or life for anyone,
I dont care who you are.
This is me.
Get use to it
Heaven only knows youve had long enough.
One day
Ill open up to you
Ill show you the real me
Maybe then youll appreciate the beauty inside
Itll probably never happen
Youre already to late.
All that was good has been replaced.
Gone are the days of happiness and joy
Light replaced by dark
A twisted world that engulfs me,
A vortex of sin.

| this is a really strong write - if only more people weren't afraid to be themselves. i like the phrase 'vortex of sin' too - it creates a very visual image. great poem, keep them coming. KT x |
