What have I done to deserve to be lonely?
Nights are miserable
And even the warmest of days are cold..
All dreams become nightmares
And everything good means nothing..
The sweetest of honey tastes bitter
And the most refreshing of water parches me even more..
I look with envy to those who have found true love
To those who have parted ways with solitude
My heart once over flowing with love
Has become a dry and withered shell of its former self
There is no good in the world, and joy is but a name
As the Mother weeps for her child
I weep for a life separated of this wretched emotion
Sadness becomes hate
Hate of what I cannot have
Surely anguish will follow me for the rest of my days
And grief will be my closest companion
For they are always there
The angel of death calls to me
Her voice is sweet and comforting
She seduces me with promises
Promises of an existence without pain or suffering
And I, will answer her call..
