FOOTSTEPS HEARD FROM MEMORY
DOWN A PASSAGE I DID NOT GO
THERE A DOOR I NEVER OPENED
NOW I WILL NEVER KNOW
TEMPTATION WAS IN FRONT OF ME
THINGS I HAD DREAMED ABOUT
RESISTING WAS HARD, NOW I SEE
MY LOSS GREATER THERE'S NO DOUBT
FOOTSTEPS WOULD TAKE ME
TO A WORLD BEYOND MY MEANS
A PATH THAT I TRAVELED
PLACES I WANTED TO SEE
OTHER WORLDS SEEMED SO SPECIAL
NOT AT ALL LIKE HOME
SUDDENLY OUT OF NOWHERE
I REALIZED I WAS NOT REALLY GONE.
