They worked and they tried
They fought and some died
To give us our freedom
And give us much pride
They lived for their country
Our land of the free
They fought for our rights
They died for you and me
Dont ever forget them
For without them wed be
In a country so ruled
Wed have no liberty
Our men and our women
Still fight every day
So please remember
Them when you pray
For they are the reasons
We can do and say what we want
About government and citizens
For freedom weve got
So please say a prayer
For these folks who do all
They can for each of us
When they answer that call
