Faithful Grace

The light burnt out and darkness wrapped my eyes,

empty, black, gloomy, depressing darkness

When dawn came, the darkness failed to cease.

Apologies only for apologies sake, everything without meaning

Wondering when the purgatory would rescend

then just when hope was seemingly lost

a glimpse revealed itself from beyond .

And with one amazing leap into the abyss

a fleeting, eternal flame was imprinted into my soul

and with that I attached myself to grace

with a revived spirit injected with faith
