Living for the moment
everything is going just fine...
Nothing can go wrong
at this moment in time...
Feeling so good, Smile from ear to ear
feeling like I can take on the world...
Just sitting and daydreaming
as my hair I twirl...
Then suddenly out the blue
something occurs...
and now yesterdays good day
today is a blur...
Frustration, anxiety and worry
begin to set in...
Now I sit biting my nails
and my thoughts crazily spin...
What happened I thought everything
in my life was already set...
But in my head I can hear the question
When did you forget?...
Ignore the questions in my head
got no time for that now...
I have to think as I need to figure
things out ....
I have to take care of these problems,
So I start to think and I fret...
Theres that question again
When did you forget?...
How do I fix all this, think hard
Where did it all go wrong...
didnt I do what I was supposed to
I sit and wonder all night long....
I did this, I did that, I did it all
or so I thought I did...
But if I did it all then why out
of my control it seems everything slid....
When did you forget?
theres that question again...
But Now with no other place to
turn, I finally listen....
When did you forget?
I hear it louder now in my head...
When did you forget?
That for you my blood was shed...
What are you saying and what
does this have to do with MY problems...
How can blood shed save me
from hitting rock bottom....
I hear it so clearly now, When did you forget?
That you used to trust in my word...
When did you forget?
And stop living what you learned...
When did you forget?
That you never had to walk alone...
When did you forget?
That what you have is not your own...
When did you forget?
That in you joy and peace used to reside...
When did you forget?
That you replaced it instead with burden and pride...
When did you forget?
I am the reason you live...
When did you forget?
Now what used to be Him is now I DID...
Why did you forget?
That I love you so...
That for you I gave my life
That I would never let you go...
Remember me and what I have
done and will do for you...
Like it says in 13:5 in the
Book of Hebrews...
When did you forget?
That my plans are better than yours...
That if you just put your faith and trust in
me, I can open up doors....
You replaced Him with I
and your time you gave away...
I watied for you to come
but slowly you began to fade...
When did you forget?
That it is I
not you who is in control...
That in my hands alone
Its your future I hold...
If you want to forget
Forget the arrogance and greed...
Forget about all the things
That you think you need...
Life I have given and promises
to you I gave...
It's not hard to remember
In your heart they are saved...
So when life isn't as
You thought it should be...
Don't you forget
It won't change for the better
When you replace Him with me...
