Angel In The Doorway

Black slowly filling the room rushing in like foam
Black rushing through my blood reaching my heart and out my pores
I don't know what to do
I see an angel in the doorway
I stand with my hands out
But she just looks at me

Images of his soul are stabbing my thoughts
I see our pictures that once were filled with happy memories catch fire with black flames
I look around and see black puddles slowly expanding covering all color
I try to mop it up but it just keeps growing
I open the curtains to only find pure blackness
Then I look into her eyes

She is so beautiful and radiant
She wants me to come to her
I take a step forward but my feet are heavy
Something is holding me back
I won't give up
Through all the pain I will push

I'm getting closer to her
I can feel the pain slowly become strange
I am almost there
I can see all of my hopes and dreams
Then I hear his voice

But his soothing voice is dragging me back
But I know I shouldn't go

I ask for guidance but she just looks at me
Watching me fight
He doesn't want me to go with her
He knocks me down and grabs my feet
Dragging me into his tornado
I look into his eyes and feel peace
But I know it can't be real
I am seeing what I want to see

I close my eyes and hope for the best
And when I open my eyes I see
Sunshine
Did I win or did he?
