stix and spit

Contributed by simplysublime on Monday, 21st November 2011 @ 06:34:55 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

Im so afraid to fail, and so i never try.
Im so afraid to succeed so i guess ill never fly
Im safe up here in my Coo-coo's nest, built it myself with sticks and spit
watching the wind blow outside
watching other birds living their lives
thinking in my nest,"why o why must i sit here and cry"
The sun is shinning and its a beautiful day
yet i perch in my window and watch it waste away
sitting in my nest and fluttering my wings
having dreams of soaring high above the trees
but as sure as i am small, i will never fly at all
day by day safe in my space
alone in this place
cant handle the wind because it scares me so
yet deep inside is a need to grow
so one day il say enough is enough
Get up the courage and finally jump!
scared of the outcome
whatever it may be
Whether i fall to my death
Or soar and be free

The cycle of life very aptly put.
Enjoyably described.
