So I don't matter ...i know that

Contributed by Jilli_bean on Friday, 2nd May 2003 @ 07:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

**please read this poem slowly...line by line**

who is that person
the one that looks you in the eyes
empty and cold
with blonde hair swaying in the wind
being tinted gold in the afternoon sun
on top a cliff

they used to have spunk
used to have a talent
words to them were art
nothing more, nothing less

It was their world
an escape
something better
when they couldnt face themselves anymore

who is that person
associating with everyone else
no one cares
it didn't seem noticable

so thier talent slipped into oblivaon
with no way to express
darkness began to reign
the ugly past reared its head abruptly to present

history once again was repeated
it was all bottled up
thoughts,feelings,emotions
all kept inside

who is that person
that person who was once a little girl
happy, naive
she was a dreamer, she was

then cruel reality kicked in
although there are moments
sitting alone , or hanging with friends
pure happy, is less but still sweet

she still sits
around
talent gone
scorned and lonely

pitty wants she not
nor sorry for her
be you dont
confusion is what consumes her

who is that she
cowering back into former friendly blackness
sarcasm was considered sersious
she snapped

writing was her life
taken away it was
and so, her sanity
to far gone into an illusion
she jumps

WOW... for once, I am completely speechless. I... I don't know what to say. I read it slow, several times. It makes you wonder you know? About life... about people who seem so friendly and so sure about life. It makes you think, so she could write but what is there to write about when you have nothing left to live for? And its scary... what will happen to the girl when she goes home tonight?

**I'm being serious Jill. Don't let yourself plunge.**

One question... do you like this poem?

Amy
