From stars and sripes to all my might
I struggle from left to right but before I sing I must confess I made a mess
Life is just not what it seems
Life is a battle
You must fight for what is right
But don't fight in haste
Think things through
Because the problem could be you
If only I knew the things I know now
maybe things could be better
But nevermind it's only a dream
We learn from our mistakes
which can only make us stronger
Don't worry this poem won't go on much longer
Just remember
It's only a dream

| I like this. Especially the part about the problem could be you. I think very few people even consider that possibility before they go start wars. If they did there would probably be a lot less blood shed. Good to know someone out there has their head on straight. Keep writing. It's a very rewarding past time. truly , Doug |
