look through my eyes
see the world
through helpless, hopeful tears
look down at my hands
clasped together begging for forgiveness
will you not repent?
taste my lips again
and the sorrow of my lost love
you've filled my heart with agony
with wounded pride
you've denied me
you've led me to believe
and crushed my faith
i'm on my knees
praying
tasting my forbidden tears
i don't want you to see me like this
unless you're looking through my eyes
unless you feel these burning tears
on your face as well
uless your pride too
is shattered
like my own
unless your knees are bruised
and your heart needs me once again
how can i look at you
when you don't see me?
how can i bear to see your eyes
forsaking me once more?
how can i turn away from
the face i once adored?
how did you do it?
