You visited upon my life
the suddeness and depth of a
plague or disease and
without invitation sickened me.
An attempt to sonogram my mind
exposed only your own devious
and boundless capabilities.
Cloaked in layers of disguise,
you decieved and hoped
to pass me off as a
shadow of what you are.
I refuse to pay homage to your
paranoia and delusions, nor
will I relieve you of your
compromises you called life.
I won't be saddled with your
selfish history and wreckless choices
nor will I suffer your
self-indulgence and self-forgiveness
for not becomming the woman
life expected of you
No one asked it of you.
Resist the urge to punish me
for what you made of your life.
Direct those energies toward
the reconstruction of
your damaged character.
My punishment is over.
Having known you was
my electric chair.

| hi this is a really deep poem, i kind of want to know what its about but at the same time fear it would upset me too much, i hope that i am wrong cause i wouldnt wish that kind of suffering on anyone. well written. check my poems out if you have time, in anticipation from alicewhite. |

It sounds like you were in love with
an addict, probably. I've been there
so it is easy to spot! In order to comment
back to anyone here (since you are new)
just look above our comment to a small
area that says (User Info). Click on that
and it will bring you to the commenters
home page where their writes are listed
chronologically, not alphabetically!
