Its been so long, feels such a long time, I have no reason and no rhyme,
When I left, it tore me apart; the pain has only dulled with time.
You said it was for the best, and we could still be friends,
But it turns out, like all things; it came to an abrupt end.
Now such time has passed, and never a word from you,
And Ive tried to move on and all the things youre meant to do.
Still youre always there, on the edge of consciousness, the back of my mind,
I thought wed be forever, that we had a tie that binds.
So now Im meant to get on with it, to find someone else, someone new,
I do want to, I really do, Im just not sure what to do.
Youll always be there with me, till the day I die,
I cant find the right words to say goodbye.
Hopefully one day Ill get past all of this, Ill find my way once again,
Ill be able to give my heart to another and the will not to bend.
But until that time comes, I honestly dont know what to do,
Because the truth is, even after all these years, Im still lost without you.

Finding contentment in your sorrows,
like the Bible hero Job did, is the
path to forgiving and forgetting. For
there are stages of grief, not the least
of which is bitterness and anger! Watch
out. It's coming. I've been there. The next
step is to forgive, let go, and then let God!
