He says he's had enough
She begs him to please stay
says she'll do better
promises she'll change
but he knows her all to well
he's fallen for her games
she'd say she'll sober up
and as she says it
she's shooting up
this time he's gonna leave her
he's finally made up his mind
he ain't coming back this time
by now she's so doped up
she don't even see him leave
he glances back at her
trying not to cry
now he's in the hospital his mamma's by his side
he asks her "why'd she have to die"
his mamma just watches as he slowly dies
trying not to cry
