A SON TO SAVE US!

Contributed by robert_edgar_burns on Sunday, 18th December 2011 @ 03:06:30 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Oh if we had a baby boy,
We would love him all through the day.
At night we would watch him
While he was asleep.
After a giggle filled fun day of play!

We would sigh while we watched
With tears in our eyes,
And thank our Father above!
For sending him here to bless our home
And fill our hearts with his love!

Then just imagine if after he grew
He left home and travelled away.
Wed hear of him working great miracles
From sun up till the end of each day!

But he had no place to lay his dear head
But on soft pillows we sleep each night.
If only hed stop doing what he did
He could come home and all would be right!

Right then while thinking all of these things,
A Dove descended from out of the sky,
It spoke and assured us our Son was now His,
And had a plan to work from on high!

He said You will not like what soon you shall hear,
Happening to the Son you have raised!
Just be certain that after all these things are done,
You shall Praise His Holy name!

This is the reason I sent Him to you
To care for and love all these years.
Your mission was the very most special one,
Someday He shall wipe away all your tears!

Fantastically written and retold! The Christmas story is so touching and you have portrayed it all from Mary and Joseph's personal point of view. Hope more enjoy your lovely poem and Merry Christmas. May God bless you and you household,
Deidra
