Im just not ready, Im sorry but its true,
I want to be honest, never lie to you.
She hurt me too badly, in too many ways,
Love is just the last thing on my mind these days.
Your kind and generous, but I hope patient too,
As much as I wish it, Im just not there for you.
It wouldnt be fair, to start something right now,
Until Im over it and this pain takes a bow.
The timing is bad, its no reflection on you,
I just need time, its what I have to do.
I dont expect you to wait, thats asking too much,
This is my problem, please treat it as such.
Because of whats happened, Ive lost all my fight,
My defences are up, my love locked up tight.
Until I am ready to commit, and this relationship can start,
You cant break down my walls, theres no lock-pick for my heart.
