You did what you did, and I cant change that fact, The temptation was there and you couldnt help but act. You took what we had, put it all on the line, Hoped that if caught, all would be fine.
Well in a way, I suppose you were right, Were still together, despite the resulting fight. But Im still here because I love you, and cant let go, Before you get ahead of yourself, I want you to know.
I may have pushed what happened to the side, but its still there, The hour that passes, that I dont think about it, is rare. Its always beneath the surface, floating at the back of my mind, I always keep my eye on you, in case again, you stab me from behind.
All Im saying is dont think its over, that youve got away, It may still break us, lets just take it day by day. If you could cheat on me, then something with us is rotten, For now were together, but remember, its forgiven not forgotten

Forgive 'n' let "forgiven not forgotten" pay the tab this time ... 'n' carry their in conscience. Takes the load off yer shoulders 'n' puts it where it belongs. Good stuff.
