Santa's Debacle

Contributed by northernlights on Saturday, 24th December 2011 @ 01:40:41 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Santas lost all zest and sparkle,
Hes going on a Santas debacle!!
Everyones suing!
Hes near to ruin!
Life is much darker than charcoal!

Santa has gone off the boil.
Hes tired of sweat and toil!
His beard is grey.
Hes had his day.
A mess hes in right royal!

Santa has given up the ghost!
Survived it longer than most!
Hes put down the bags,
Taken to booze and fags.
Retired to a pub by the coast.

Santas gradually falling apart.
Reputation is a boring old fart!
His knees are knocking.
His hygiene is shocking.
His sledge more a rusty old cart.

Santas finally had his chips!
Needing new knees and hips.
His speech is slurred.
His system is furred.
He lives for his afternoon kips.

Santas still has a twinkle in his eyes!
Hes looking at more than mince pies!
His eyes are now clocking
A different kinda stocking!
Ho Ho Ho are this wicked Santas cries!

At the risk of being called Ebenezer, I liked it. Lots of laughter in the last verse.
