Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus was an enormous feast
That roved about,
Eating the smaller beasts

He was the ruler of all he heard,
All he saw, all he ate among
The ferns and stones

Yet along the bank he slipped
And learned
The fossil school of bones

Wonderful! When children's poetry done in the vein of Silverstein works it is just damn wonderful. I love this, it is a perfect introduction for a child into the world of creative language and all the while is actually informative. You should consider writing a series of these find a cartoonist and get a book published this could be an untapped gold mine for you and well considering what kids are reading these days, we need a comeback in true children's literature.

OUTSTANDING!

It's a striking poem, cleverly structured, and precise.
One of the best children poems around here.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
