You know the girl Im talking about?
The one that laughs in the sun and plays in the rain Never saddened and shuns pain Looks at the world through the purest of eyes Not ever do I want to see her cry You know the one?
She is never far but just out of sight To catch a glimpse would make my night Day after day I search with care Never to find her to my despair Have you seen her?
I swear she exists, I know it to be true But all I have are a handful of clues Perhaps it is my fault, staying to the light By chance I look to the night Could she be there?
Here she dwells! Amongst the moon and the stars Not far from where you are Just look to the night sky and youll see her face Shining bright and full of grace Do my eyes deceive me?
No! Ive found the one, this elusive girl The one that makes my heart pound and head swirl The one that is always in my dreams My obsession, it seems
You know the one Im talking about

I had to read this aloud to get the right impact in the certain pacing you put into it. Its really sweet and the repetition of you know the girl I'm talking about with variations was clever. |
