Standing in the dark

I was walking in the dark towards light
Holding a hand I trusted
smiling at every foot step
dreaming the mirage of a brighter tommorow together
Blinded of the dark deception
Suddenly woke up and found no sunshine
waking up in tears and bleeding again never felt this insane
wondering the dream i had was real or fake
fake or real it left a mark that i cant hide
I was a nomad standing in the dark alone
wondering what did i do wrong
or i was just a stepping stone
thoughts of the dream still swirling in my mind
decided to tear down the illusion and hope
trying to forgive and forget
the one who left me standing in the dark.

Raise a lot of expectations
Its then when you realize
Life has to be lived with open eyes...
