The nightbirds sang
Together upon the lake
And let us catch forever in their flight
Your hair was close upon my cheek
Your eyes had vanished into mine
The oaks turned darkness,
The night wore night
The lake turned shadow in your arms
As you traced the minutes with your lips,
For I had captured moonlight with a kiss
