Kettles and Pans
Precious un-born baby, in Your mamma's womb; Is there anything more sacred, than a child about to bloom? How can anybody do what they're about to do? How can anyone be so callous as to turn their back on You?
Well, I see You've been born, so, I guess You're on your own; You're not my problem, now; You're a part of somebody else's home... Don't expect me to sacrifice; Don't expect me to bleed for You; I'd rather have my toys and stuff; that's what us self-righteous grown-ups do...
Seems we have a kettle calling the pan black! Seems we got a case of blind folk unaware of what they lack! How can any-self-respecting-body do what they always do? How can anyone be so callous as to turn their back on You?
[music] ...that's what us self-righteous grown-ups do...
When did I feed You? When did I quench Your thirst? When did I visit You in bondage? When did I serve You first? When did I put clothes on Your back? When did I invite You in? When did I pour my wealth on Your sickness? When did I; please tell me, when?
Well, I see You've been born, so, I guess You're on your own; You're not my problem, now; You're a part of somebody else's home... Don't expect me to sacrifice; Don't expect me to bleed for You; I'd rather have my toys and stuff; that's what us self-righteous grown-ups do...
D***! God Almighty, d***! How can any self-respecting-body turn their back on a You? How can any self-respecting-body turn their back on a child? How can any self-respecting-body turn their back on the poor? How can any-self-respecting-body turn their back on our Lord? Aw...that's what us self-righteous grown-ups do... That's what the self-righteous do... That's what the Anti-Christ does...
