We've been friends forever it seems.
Given the chance our luv is mean.
It might be years between embraces
But love for us has many faces.
Now I find you've been treated black
But darlin, you don't gotta take that.
You've been abused it's plain to see.
You don't gotta take that, believe.
You're such a kind, loving soul
And spread sun shine where you go.
Your touch can melt life, it's facade,
Leaving peace as you walk with God.
Your free spirit rare and true.
How could any women leave you blue?
Their empty hearts leave you pain
When you deserve only good to gain.
