why do people hide
what they really feel
it is almost as though
their heart was made of steel
i open up the best i can
but when i do that
i only get beaten down by the man
maybe i should try
and not say a word
sit there without a sound
while inside i just cry
ask the stupid question...why
what is the point of talking
it only ends up
with the other person walking
when i do say what i really feel
it makes other feel ill as ease
this is not what i wanted to to
so i shall say nothing if you please
emotions are a funny thing
sometimes they want to make you sing
other times make you weep
so from now on
inside them i will keep
