The trouble with a keen eye, Is watching people scrape by.
Denial flows as if it were music to ears, With that comes a price, to you and your peers, It wont hurt to have a few more beers, Loved ones wont notice, eyes blurry with tears.
The trouble with a keen eye, Is not wanting to just standby.
A heavy heart should be carried with two hands, If you lend one out, the weary load expands. To give any more may damage your plans, How much excess can you really withstand.
The trouble with a keen eye, Is there is no wondering why.

Because a keen eye see's the truth, and wants to help. Unfortunately there are a lot of problems in the world. Problems that often... don't have a solution, and even if they did... we do not have the time to fix them.
I believe this to be one of the sole reasons why intelligent people are so often unhappy.
