BABYLON RESURRECTED

Contributed by kingnothing on Wednesday, 11th January 2012 @ 05:34:50 AM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

We do not belong to this world
We do not belong to this place
What technology had given us
Was never a grace
We must not live in this place
That is filled with emptiness
We must not abandon our grace
To enforce our selfishness

We lie to ourselves
Day by day
We cry on our beds
Every day
And still we believe
That we can be saved
Still we think
That we are not caged

Little cages, one by one
Place on top of each other
Little fakes, each and every one
Please dont take off our cover
Lie by lie, we lie each moment
To convince everyone that this is great
Cry by cry, with each and every movement
Please dont say that were fake

And still we think
That we can be saved
And still we lie
Each and every day
And so Babylon comes
And it comes to stay
And so the legend is true
In each and every way

Talk full of words,
But yet no one speaks
Talk full of lies
And so the world is a bleak
Talk and dont speak
Hear but never listen
Look but never see
The lie that we live in

And there comes Babylon
Full of grace
There comes Babylon
To save your days
There comes Babylon
Full of malice
And yet no one tries to uncover
Its great disguise

And there you are my dear
There we all are
Told by a previous seer
That its a never to be repeated scar
On the face of humanity
The scar reappears
And yet no one notices
What was said by previous seers

Babylon is resurrected
And it searches up high
The clouds are no longer protected
From its monstrous cry
It grows bigger and bigger
And it cries louder and louder
For those who hold the trigger
To kill us with their powder
And yet no one hears its cries
And they never see the monstrousness
They all laugh to their demise
And kill their world without kindness

Babylon is resurrected
What will you do my friend?
Will you think youre unaffected?
Or fight until the end?
Babylon is here
And it seeks your soul
Will you know it clear?
Or ignore its devious goal
Babylon is alive
And its resurrected
And when it completes its purpose
No one will be unaffected

'Talk and don’t speak
Hear but never listen
Look but never see'

i liked the way you used synonyms to convey different meaning here :)
