Artificial Face

Crush my soul under boots of magnitude
Pointing blame in my cave of solitude
Carve out my heart so as to numb the pain
Where dusty human ashes will remain
Unable to fathom your ignorance
Excuses are tools for incompetence
Your evil ways will be accounted for
You've no idea what He has in store
Void cavity that leaves a bleeding hole
No amount of hatred will make it full

Too many chutes and not enough ladders
Leading to a pit of writhing adders
You're like a maze through briars in the night
Too tightly bound so that I cannot fight
Biting cold to make a grave seem burning
A sickness that leaves my stomach turning
What's forbidden will never be allowed
Our unions poison will be disavowed
Ride on the storm that tries to barre my way
Perhaps I'll live to love another day

Attitude is changed - listen at the door
Stop you entering - locked forevermore
Well of endless hate - get out of my life
We are done for good - no longer my wife
Sucking blood unseen - like a parasite
Harbinger of fate - you don't have the right
Like a house of lies - built upon the sand
Instability - you don't understand
All is said and done - we are finished here
Criminal neglect - I am free and clear

I have nothing left - evade the unknown
Cold and dead inside - better off alone
You just never quit - put you in your place
Come on out with it - artificial face

Welcome to YPDC.
This is heart wrenching.
It's really sad.
I'm happy to know that u r still with us.
I know it has to hurt but in time it will be a little easier to live with.
No one can fully understand your pain. keep writing as I know it helps and heels.
If you need a friend to vent then just pm me. I was wondering if you two had kids together?
You are a great writer.
Blessings, huggs, prayer,
emy

I feel your pain, I have had a similar experiences. I really, lets say, enjoyed for lack of a better term the depth and power of your wording. I hope you get past this my friend.

This poem is very emotional. I love it, I loved the way you described different feelings, etc. I think it is somewhat darkly amusing that things that hurt us so much can bring out amazing talents like this.

I can't say I understand how you feel about your wife/ex-wife. But I do understand how it feels to not want to be apart of the world, to want to end your life.

I hope you're coping okay, and please, stay around, write some happy and beautiful poetry.
