cold touch

Contributed by samray33 on Sunday, 15th January 2012 @ 02:50:10 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

A cold touch is a kiss;
electric with a bite.

Wake up and breathe it in;
that soft blue glow.

Fly and feel the yellow
yellow sparks behind your eyes.

Take it
own it
fly

And I could fly forever
Kicking at the clouds
Feel my hair all about me snaking 'round my neck

Feel naked and so care free
clothed and floating on
But take me take me further like i haven't gone yet

I want to feel the cold touch
feel it's tease and pain

A memory isn't good enough
I want it again and again

I'm an addict but it's easy
to get just what I want

I want that cold touch.
I just want that cold touch.

And a kiss would be just fine
Just like eyes parting a crowd

That knowing feeling
flying cold playing chilling

Because those ice eyes make me fly
and I could fly forever
I'm naked with no secrets and the cold touch makes me smile

I want that cold touch.
I just want that cold touch.

What a great word painting of life.
A reader could see Benjamin Franklin
flying a kite today in a lightning storm,
Or an addicts cold needle waiting to
pierce the skin, or a sword just before
it enters the body. And all of these "Colds"
lead to very "Hot" consequences. Great
thinking man's poem! Blessings, Rob
