Greetings to the morning

Do not break past the water surface
Do not breach illusions
They will come back to haunt you
As you fall asleep.
Misery cries at your doorstep
Take heed! And flee.
Barren deserts linger at the break of dawn
Quench the fire in the sun
Allow me a moment of sleep.
