A distant fabric floating out like thread. A colorful silk, like a spider spreads. As the tree tops hide the still dark of night, There is peering softly a faint beam of light.
The quiet time breaks from a roosters alarm. A cow then moos on a nearby farm. The crickets chirp and woodpeckers peck. Then a guttural sound from a gators neck.
As a hoot owl rests on a sprawling branch, His bobbing head, is his mating dance. The honeysuckle wafts its sweet perfume, To join the rose petals, which are freshly bloomed.
A dog is howling, at the moon so bright. Others join in chorus, their songs in the night. A single star, just off to the left, Is the moons companion as I look due west.
Looking up those dippers one big, one small, Are brightly visible to one and all. All of the treasures that our wealth rests on, Could never compare, to this single dawn!
