What is love?
I used to think it was a feeling unexplained,
Something hard to put into words,
Something that if you found it you would be happier.
If that is love then it must not be what I have found,
I found something I can not explain,
And hard to put into words,
But I was no happier,
Only filled with a sickening sadness.
I have only felt this for one person,
She wasn't pretty in others eyes,
But she was beautiful in mine.
More times then I can recall I have told her how I feel,
Each time has left me with a greater sadness,
Now every time I go back home,
I see her, she plays with my heart,
Leaving me worse than I was before.
I see her as I sleep,
And now in my waking dreams.
Try as I might I can not let her go,
I can not seem to forget her.
I want so badly to let go, move on and be free.
Again I ask now once more,
What is love?
An unexplained draw to a person?
Some one you can't seem to forget?
If this is love,
I don't want it.
I just want this sadness to go away,
So I can bee free once more.
If only for a little while.
I just want to be free of this sickening curse.

i understand this feeling..
and ive been there...
but that isnt what love is.
pretend your a boat out at sea, surrounded by other boats- all drifting by eachother.
when i found my sould mate and realized how much i loved him and needed him in my life i felt a "tether" attach to my boat lol i know its weird, but when you find that right person you'll feel more of a calmness in knowing that you'll never have to go through things alone again. |

| What a compelling write. I've yet to figure out love, I want it to be one thing, but it always seems to be another. My eyes were drawn to every line. Great great write. thank you for sharing. |

| I believe love is different for very person, for me it's a feeling will you will never give up no matter what happened, extremely hard to put the rest into words, but you will definitely know what love is when it hits... |
