Butterflies, one of the world's most beautiful creatures,
Known mainly to all for its intricate features.
Like its slender body and fragile frame,
Its no wonder why little ones sing praises of its name
Why...its your beauty that is your blessing and your curse
the cross you must bear as you travel this earth
The means by which they judge your worth
Not knowing your true value that's been held since your birth
Like a butterfly my dear, your beauty speaks volumes
While your elegance is seen clearer than that of most ballrooms
I stand amazed by your presence and quiet demeanor
and ask myself how is it no one can actually see her
For like a moth to a flame, your presence draws me close,
Binding my thoughts and never letting go.
Making it seem impossible to stand
Without having you there, holding my hand
But you know this already, that much is true
We been thru it all..tho raging or blue
And thru all of this I just have to say
I'm glad you fluttered over my way
