Fallacy Force

Contributed by Tracy on Tuesday, 24th January 2012 @ 07:10:39 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Your midnight eyes
project the flashback dreams
of our youth.
Seductive sirens call
reorders one hundred
broken promises
whose chaotic hunger
rubs hearts raw.

A blazing fire cannot compare
to our desperate embrace.

Time falls away
and neophyte confusion
bubbles up to
reveal bitter scars.
Frostbitten words
bring tears to
eyes of icy blue
that still see only you.

What might have been? Four simple
words with such profound emotions,
yet explained so masterfully in this
lovely write. Blessings,

Hi Tracy,

Love hurts! Which is just as well, otherwise
we would be starved of poetic gems such as
this.

First, might I say, AWESOME!!! You certainly are talented. I hope you post more.

So how about that painful joy of love? They (there's those they again) love to say there's plenty of fish in the sea and yes, yes, yes, there certainly are but sometimes none so unique as someone we may really be attached to. Throw some back. Ooooo...I might keep this "one". And then, there comes the wow factor of that damn chemistry. Sometimes, perhaps, maybe even a volatile chemistry but chemistry nevertheless. There are times I hate that addiction!

Thanks for another great poem.

Tim
