BUTTER FLY LANE

Contributed by emystar on Wednesday, 25th January 2012 @ 06:08:17 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

You taught so much to me
On your lane so free.
In you beauty, natures garden,
Found my own heart's pardon.
Those echos from the past
Taught me that sorrows can't last.
Only thoughts, images we see
Still there's true reality.
Strolling your lane where
Butterfly's play
Taught me to smile
Along life, it's way.
Stepping stones under my feet.
Butterfly lane, your unique.
Peace and tranquility
So hard to find.
Yes, you're leading
on that design.
Sorrow was turned to rain
Strolling down Butterfly lane.
Seeing inside your beautiful sunset,
Best ones I've seen yet.
When nothing could make
My heart smile, you brightened
This heart a while.
You sheltered many of
troubled soul
That had no other place to go.
A resting place you have been.
Butterfly lane, forever my friend.

Butterfly lane was an old plantation back in the day.
Butterfly's flutter in abundance.

I have read this poem about a dozen times trying to understand what the poet has to say and what he means, but as yet, I am sorry to say, I have not grasped the meaning of it. Perhaps a little explanation at the beginning would have helped.Thanks.

Oh dearest Emy - this lovely poem is to me so clear.
Its the little joys life offers thru the mercu of God in troubled times we have to go through to grow to sustain us.
Absolutely lovely.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
Hugs and love
Elizabeth
