Echoes of Our Love

Echoes of Our Love

Why will you not listen
To the voice of my heart
Do you not care
We drift further and further apart

Do I not love you
As no one before
Have I not spoken truthfully
Of the woman I adore

All day long my heart waits
For a whisper or a word
Only silence answers
Loneliness is heard

My heart will whisper
From morning until night
Shower you with love
In sunbeams and Starlight

Perhaps you'll never want it
Your love is at an end
But my love will continue
If not as lover- Then friend

Should our hearts no more touch
Coo no more as the dove
It will be enough to remember
The echoes of our love

Russ
