Her Ghost

Contributed by JohnnyFallen on Saturday, 18th February 2012 @ 10:20:46 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Every night something goes bump
I sense a feminine presence
Her ghost so lovely, so genly, so kind
Am I losing my mind?
Her once pale skin with a color now cold and grey
A single word I cannot utter
Who is she? I do not know
Her cold and sweet hands wrapped around my chest
My heart beating fast, it could be my last
Whispers I love you, her grip tighening
Her voice so familiar of someone in particular
Then I shivered as I remembered
She was a victim of an accident
She was a girl I loved who had died by my hands
Does she remember what happened on that dark and stormy night?
Does she remember what happened on that stark and gloomy night?
It was all an accident, I had slit her neck
I said I love you back to her
Her ghost request I turn around to kiss her
I turn around to a horrifying and terrifying sight
I saw the bloody gash where I had slashed her throat
Motionless and speechless I was
Do you still love me? She asked repeatedly
Her voice deepening to a sickening demonic voice
Then she finally said, kiss me
Her mouth opened to show maggots and dagger-like teeth
Her eyes as black as night
My eyes opened with fear and true despair had been introduced to me for the first time
Suddenly everything went dark and my heart was no longer beating
Food for the vermin I have become...
