~Roses Rainbows and Rain~

In utter frustration I asked God for a sign
the sky burst open and here came the rain.
Not exactly what I was thinking about
as I walked in the currents getting soaked to the bone.
If I paid more attention and remembered the times
I had roses all blooming their beauty refined.
A brilliant rainbow above, colors vibrant and bold
marking a promise always foretold.
Today the wind is blowing, the weather cant make up its mind.
Though the windchimes sound lovely,
making beautiful music, keeping a chorus on time.
Yes there is rain but the day is all mine.
So we decide what we ask for, God knows what we need.
He will grow us a rose where before we only had weeds.
The rainbows will come, then they will go
we can decide to see them, even if in the sky they dont show.
Today with arms wide open I own them all
roses and rainbows and rain beating on my window sills.
