The First One

Flow, flow, flow your tear
Gently down your cheek

I will always remember you
As my first one
Back when you were my sun
I will never forget you
I will never regret that I was once with you
I love those memories we shared
We weren't scared
Back when we we're together
And thought we'd be forever
Those phone calls lasted for hours
We were ours
I'm so glad my first kiss was with you
I won't lie, this is true
Though we are now friends apart
You're still in my heart
I still have all of those things you gave to me
As a reminder that you were worth it
Ten weeks after we broke up
You told me you torched the letter I sent you and it's contents
Said it would make you feel better
So that you're wounds would heal
We know pain is real
I wrote this poem on my birthday
And I just want to say
You will always be somebody to me
