Limbo Of mind

Contributed by shallow on Monday, 5th March 2012 @ 12:51:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Fallen back to the shallow earth
A mindless journey from a place i once called home
The deeper i go the closer i am to the surface
i am locked away from the coffin of my own tomb

I think back to the end
Silence catches the trend
I see you fall down from the grace of heaven
I caught your wing , all Pride forsaken

what is past when you live it again
What is love when you have to let go
What is happiness when you smile of pain
what is despair sadness and sorrow
what is death when no blood is drying
dried tears ceased by endless crying

Held onto you was i a chain that kept pulling
or the support that kept you from rising
is this the fear of infinite doubt
or the cruel truth of endless lying

fate catches reality
when i am no longer your priority
You fly to your desires calling
I let you go and tear my wings
the ordeal of living deafens me
you smile from above,my eyes lie

i no longer have a coffin to entomb me
shallow grounds drown me
Sweet insanity sings me to sleep
a death wish lullaby sinks in deep

sleep tonight my love
by happy,be free,be a child reborn
these are the luxuries i no longer can
playing a knight a simple man
trying to catch an angel from the skies
holding to light with a million fireflies

just a scar of memories, that's your face
no light,no shadows take birth
you were my home, ashes guarding this place
now i fall back to the shallow earth
it is still a dead boy's song
only silence to sing along
only silence to sing along

Reminds me of one of the first poems I ever wrote on here. "Ad finem temporis" This poem brings a feeling of sadness and despair with it, but also beauty. Remember that you are blessed to have felt something so strongly, even for a time. Many never get that chance.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
