Road To Redemption (Pt.II - The Golden Mic)

Contributed by Blackheart on Thursday, 8th March 2012 @ 09:16:10 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Here he is

Once again

In the spotlight

Tryna beat Nervousness

Last time they met

He froze up like he was standing in the cold December weather

Not to mention it was December

Like it was yesterday he remembers

Forget that night of failure he could never

He thought he would never

Get a second chance

That he lost his dream forever

But in this case never say never

He's back and better than ever

He's lived in the abyss 3 months straight

That moment brought him down, it was too much weight

But being a weakling is one feeling he hates

So his lyrics did 2 sets of 50 push-ups every night

And 3 months later, he stumbles upon a golden mic

After he picks it up he's blinded by a golden light

Followed it and led him right

Here to this very moment

To this very stage

(Hold on gimme a second lemme turn the page)

Looks at Nervousness

And instead of nervous he's full of rage

Like a lion with a thorn in his foot

Being teased while locked in its cage

Nervousness still tryna get to him

Not realizing that he's failing his attempts

Once that cage door opens

All Hell breaks loose cuz the Devil needs to vent

He spits bars so inspiring

The lock on the cage cracks

Now bow before Satan or feel his blazing wrath

Nervousness turns to black & white

And of all that remains, he saves his specs of ash

For the rest who underestimate his power

You just witnessed him leaving his fiery path

The very end of my Road To Redemption,

I've not yet reached it

But you can consider this road

Redeemed and completed

.
