My silent feet pad quietly on my mental street
Walking slowly through fiery heat and illusionary heat
Out of the blue came a noise, a sound
A soft, phantasmal pound, pound, pound
It is there never ending, dreamlike and comatose at first
Louder, it gets louder yet, annoyingly loud
First a tap, then a beat, next pounding my mind, my head might burst
Wheres the switch to turn it off, I fear this isnt the worst
You, the observer, sitting there collective and calmly as can be
Cant you understand, contemplate or comprehend whats wrong with me
What is this enigmic anomaly that pains and hounds me so
Help me why dont you; this isnt a spectacle or a freak show
My head, my poor mind inside, to us help has been denied
That person refuses to give us aid and the noise is ever growing, it shant fade
I can only try to clear my mind of crap and deceit
I wont go crazy, I cant lose my sanity, and to a sound I will not meet my defeat
The pain wont go, it will only intensify
Wait! It is but only in my head, my mind, my sanctuary shed
I deny you sound, you dont exist, and you are nothing but a lie
It diminished without a trace, no pathway left to show where it fled
Just a few aspirin will stop my body from feeling like lead
Look at you still sitting there watching me
Was it you that caused that din, oh well I care not, Im better now see
Thank God that I finally got that catastrophe out of my head
Now I can finish my walk down my mental street
Without a rap, tap, tap or a pound, beat, beat
