this life became a mystery
i've seen jail and penitentiary
never listened to what they had to say
i guess that's how i ended up this way
steep hills are what i've had to climb
all blame i will except as mine
my demons are what i have to face
tonight i set fire to this lonely place...
merry go round of innocents
life is so strange in this instance
faces so dull in the distance
death is close by and persistent...
oh father time, i've had you on my mind
oh sister grace, i can't handle this pace
please lay me down, let me die on this ground
my dreams are but few, seems like nothing will do
get away from the past, you know nothing can last
and if it ends here, will you cry for me dear...
merry go round of innocents
life is so strange in this instance
faces so dull in the distance
death is close by and persistent...
does this world remember history
why is nothing as it seems to be
as if a magician waved his magical wand
my will has been stolen and my desire is gone
why did fate have to fall this way
just seems so wrong that i had to pay
i hope to see you in the afterlife
i hope to see my kids and my beautiful wife...
