THE ECHOS FROM MY HEART

i hear words of sentiment softly being said
they bounce randomly around my dizzy head
into the deepest recesses they swiftly dart
these are surely echos from my heart
they speak of better and finer days
in my memory is where an answer lays
to a question delivered by a dearest love
transending over my body and rising further above
just a fraction of the echos from my heart
to play distraction and to play it's vital part
a single question was all that was ever sent
no reply was given, no harm was ever meant
now as time has come, and time has faded away
i have no answer, i know not what to say
i'll just sit here and ponder, seems to be a likely start
to getting to the bottom of the echos from my heart...
