What they had to lose

Contributed by MyPoetic_Life on Monday, 19th March 2012 @ 06:19:51 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

That kid who gets picked on is thinking about ending it.
He gets beat up at home and in school.
He feels like a punching bag.
His heart fills up with self hate.
So he finds a rope.
What does he have to lose?

That skinny girl people make fun of.
She is going through a lot of verbal abuse.
Someone she loved didn't lover her for who she was.
Now she doesn't love herself.
What does she have to love?

That kid who smells bad, he has no home.
Nowhere to go to clean himself up.
He has to live in a box and eat out your garbage can.
So he robs a store for money and food.
What does he have to lose?

That pregnant girl you call a slut.
She was raped.
Raped by her Mothers drunk boyfriend.
You never took the time to ask.
You took the time to point your finger.
Her baby died because she couldn't handle the stress.
So she smoke and drank..
What does she have to lose?

That Gay kid you call a faggit.
Well, he was molested by his sick minded Father when he was only 5 years old.
So he grew up confused.
His innocence was taken from him.
And you point that finger without knowing what your pointing at.
Well, he found his Dads gun.
Emptied the clip in his Dads chest,
Then put one bullet in and blew his brains out.
What did he have to lose?

You see you murdered these people.
The power of words can do so many things.
When you pointed you might as well had a gun in your hand.
But you killed yourself also.
These people could have been you.
They are apart of you.
So when you judge you judge yourself.
When you look in the mirror I hope you see their faces stare back at you.
And see what they lost.

So much truth... Such sad truth.
