SONRISE

Contributed by robert_edgar_burns on Wednesday, 21st March 2012 @ 04:22:06 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Photobucket

Some attend a sunrise service,
To honor the risen King.
Others put colored eggs in a basket,
So their kids wont learn a thing.

Then sing songs of total nonsense,
Like Peter Cottontail and Easter Parade.
Eating jelly beans and candy,
Filling baskets with grass like hay.

The kids will hunt for hidden eggs,
But theres nothing wrong with this fun,
As long as you dont overlook
To teach them of Gods Son.

Lets put it in perspective
On this Resurrection Day.
A time of joyous celebration,
And not just a time for play.

Its when Satan was defeated.
And when Death to Life was born.
Religion is now in a person,
Since the Temple shroud was torn.

So have a Happy Easter
As God wants us to rejoice.
But give His Son the credit
When we lend song to our voice.
