And so Duke Morleys knights walked France s broad fields
to Marseille, embarkation place of fame,
where they hence sailed with bright Maltese cross shields
to Messinas wharf stays of great acclaim.
Proceeding, leaving Messina their aim
to reach fair Acre in Palestine.
Acre, held by Islamic searing flame,
kept by Saladin, showing crescent sign.
Beseiged now by King Laurence seeking grace divine.
Then Morleys knights arrived completing scene
With cry of Deus Vult swords cleaved the streets,
next into home of Mullah Ashwadeen
where Masjid Omar Great at ocean meets.
There they fast bladed pious Muslim Cretes
who stayed Mosque most detritus free, all clean.
Took they then captive Mullah intussuites
along with daughter, Shullah, seventeen.
A damsel fair,engaged to Sultan Omar Khean.
