I will walk into the shadow if it means you find the light,
I will jump into pitch black just to see that you are sheltered,
I will cry these tears of sadness, just to see that you are happy,
I will break this peaceful bliss... just to know that you are safe,
I would gladly accept madness... just to know that you will wake...
I will suffer... but please remember... this is how I know its real,
I will walk into the darkness... I will break upon the rocks...
I will dream these haunting nightmares... just to know that you will sleep...
I will find the hell before you... I will revel in its chaos,
I will close the door behind me... I will throw away the key.

Life tricks us into thinking love is comlicated. It's not, but
I definitely understand the words in this piece. You've captured
the madness of putting another's happiness ahead of your own.
Excellent writing. Very emotive and relatable, with a subject that
is almost ever and always, topical.
Well done, poet!
