A day under the sun

Contributed by Waynster on Thursday, 29th March 2012 @ 04:47:14 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

In the morning
When the sun rises in the sky
Its time to get out of bed
I know there I should no-longer lye.

Many things to do
Maybe tasks from yesterday left undone
Many things to do
Before again gone is the sun

A cup of coffee
some toast or something else to eat
A little breakfast
To get me on my feet

Half the day gone
Many things I have complete
Setting down for a break
The house is clean and neat

Check the mailbox
Postman arrived a while ago
Just a couple letters
But mostly bills dont you know

Kids still in school
will be home soon, you know the deal
Another daily chore
To make sure they have a hot meal

A few hours passed
Just got back from the store
Unpacking the groceries
Plus a whole lot more

Dinner made
Family full and relaxed a bit
Time to watch tv
In the living room we will sit

A day under the sun
So many things to do
Once again tired
Your bed waiting for you

It is again time to sleep
Time to lay your head down to rest
Only so many hours to sleep
For this day you have done your best

Sleeping deep
Your dreams come to mind
The alarm goes off
Time to awake again you will find
